As the Winter Solstice approaches, and the light wanes, and the darkness increases, this is our time to rest and be quiet... just like the natural world around us
I resonate so much with what you wrote about needing quiet in the year-end rush; it realy makes me wonder how everyone else manages to carve out that space for themselves when your perspective is so spot on and needed.
I hear you, @rainbowroxy. That is the hard part, yes? If it were easy... I think more of us might be doing it. I think a lot of it depends on what your day-to-day life looks like.
One of my favorite things is to prioritize quiet and slow mornings. I really detest starting my day in a loud, chaotic rush. So that means waking up with plenty of time before whatever I have to do. Adding in yoga/meditation/reading/writing/etc.? BONUS. I love to do that. I think setting a good foundation for your day is so key.
Also, are there ways you could pause your day, from time to time, just to... be? Be outside and looking at the sky? Or going for a walk? Or... whatever is nourishing for you?
